Patient and Public Involvement

Welcome to the resources page for the BMJ Health & Care Informatics Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) partnership programme. As part of this programme, we will invite participants to peer review submitted papers and sometimes to write an article on a topic selected by the oversight panel and agreed by the Editor. Here you can find links to relevant articles and blogs as well as information on how to get involved. This initiative has been made possible in part through a grant from the Health & Care Executive of the BCS, the Chartered Institute for IT.

How to get involved

BMJ believes that partnering with patients, their carers, support networks, and the public is an ethical imperative and essential to improving the quality, safety, value, and sustainability of health systems and research. We encourage active patient and public involvement in clinical research as part of its patient and public partnership strategy. Applications for this initiative are now closed.
